A man driving a motorcycle died Wednesday night after striking a minivan that turned in front of him.
The fatal crash happened about 8:35 p.m. on East 16th Avenue at Boston Street, according to an Aurora Police Department media release. The motorcycle was westbound on East 16th, and the minivan was heading east, police said.
At Boston Street, the driver of the minivan turned left into the path of the motorcycle, “failing to yield the right of way,” police said.
The motorcycle hit the rear passenger side of the minivan, and the motorcyclist suffered severe head injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the van remained at the scene and was cooperative, police said.
