FRISCO, Colo.—Authorities say fuel that spilled after a tanker truck crash in the mountains hasn’t been detected in a river that provides water to Denver.
The Summit Daily reported Thursday ( ) the truck spilled about 6,000 gallons of gasoline and diesel after it overturned near Loveland Pass on Saturday.
The driver, who is from Colorado, suffered minor injuries and was cited for careless driving.
Officials say there’s no sign the fuel got into the nearby Snake River, which flows into Dillon Reservoir. The reservoir supplies Denver Water.
Authorities say the cleanup could take weeks.
