Richmond American Homes has designed a glittering opening act for the Denver Metro Parade of Homes that starts today and this weekend: A luxurious 5-bedroom, 4½-bath model home in Arvada that shows 4,412 square feet of finished space, plus a full finish in the walkout basement level as added entertaining area and a guest suite; along with plenty of premium finishes that Richmond American includes standard at Candelas.
And all within walking distance of the most impressive range of recreational and sustainability features you’re likely to see anywhere during the Parade, including a $3 million Swim & Fitness Club powered by 15 kilowatts of solar energy; and two completed parks, to be linked to the neighborhood by vast trails and open space.

All of that’s waiting at Candelas, the master-planned community in the city of Arvada that climbs from Indiana Avenue near Standley Lake, four miles west to Highway 93 near the foothills. “We looked at the quality of the amenities here and the views that are available from these home sites close to the recreation center, and saw a chance to showcase some of the most impressive residential designs we’ve ever created,” says Robyn Asbury, Director of Sales for Richmond American.

Also figuring into that equation is Candelas’ commuter location off Indiana, just four miles from business campuses in Interlocken along U.S. 36 and from Flatiron Crossing Shopping Center. “This is a setting that will appeal to two premium market segments,” Asbury adds. “For one, it’s in the city of Arvada, with a large component of homeowners who are anxious to move up to more size and features, while keeping their Arvada address and their Jefferson County schools.”

“Meanwhile,” says Asbury, “you’re also five minutes from the heart of the U.S. 36 corridor, where upscale buyers are comparing these prices to areas of Boulder County that offer nothing close to this kind of value in quality and sustainability.”

Richmond American’s five floor plans are priced from the low $600s, after pre-computing in a premium for the quality of the home sites – and including a dazzling array of features wrapped in, such as a gourmet kitchen with GE Profile stainless appliances including cooktop and double oven, 42-inch maple raised panel cabinets, slab granite counters with a 4-inch backsplash, ventilated pantry shelving, and premium 3¼-inch engineered hardwood floor. Master suites show granite tops and backsplash and all baths have tile surrounds and maple cabinets; and all homes come with a 3-car garage, professionally designed front landscaping and fencing, and a generous stone or brick trim.

With the Parade in mind, Richmond American is underway on four other homes set for late 2013/early 2014 delivery, including a Deborah luxury ranch plan – five bedrooms and four baths, around 4,750 square feet finished including some finished basement space, plus a 3-car garage – set for move in around October. You can visit the home during your Parade visit – along with the other sites available to create one of these plans from scratch, picking your options.

You can also tour the amenities that are part of the master plan surrounding Richmond American’s Sky View neighborhood – the swim club already open, 193 acres of open space within Candelas that will blend into the 6,400-acre Rocky Flats Wildlife Refuge to the north, and monuments and streetscapes that have ‘solar tile’ luminous decorations. To reach Richmond American’s luxurious Harmon model home from Arvada, from W. 64th take Indiana north three miles to Candelas Parkway. Or from Boulder/U.S. 36, take Interlocken south past Flatiron Crossing a mile to Colo. 128,
