A 51-year-old Platteville died Wednesday night in a one-vehicle crash less than a mile west of the town.
The crash happened about 5:35 p.m. when Barbara Wojahn lost control of the Kia van she was driving as she traveled north on Weld County Road 21 near Weld 32. The van rolled. Wojan died at the scene at 5:59 p.m., according to Weld County Coroner Mark Ward.
Colorado State Patrol spokesman Trooper Josh Lewis said an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, however, authorities do not believe that either alcohol or excessive speed were factors in the crash.
