• Town Center at Aurora presented a $10,000 check Saturday to Children’s Hospital Colorado at their back-to-school fashion show benefit. Twenty patients who modeled for the show each received a shopping-spree gift card.
• The Rite Aid Foundation announced a $5,000 grant to the Muscular Dystrophy Association to provide scholarships for about 100 children in Colorado so they can attend the MDA Summer Camp program.
• Red Robin Gourmet Burgers recently donated 19 Amana convection/microwave ovens to Food Bank of the Rockies. The ovens were formerly used at Red Robin locations and had an original cost of nearly $60,000.
• The Empower Network recently donated $10,000 to Denver’s Road Home, a 10-year plan to end homelessness.
•Denver School of Nursing donated $500 to Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo Museum in support of the Institute’s mental-health programs for DSN students. DSN also raised over $1,500 for the Chrohn’s & Colitis Foundation-Rocky Mountain Chapter.
• Corner Store recently raised more than $58,000 for the people affected by the Black Forest fire.
• IKEA Centennial recently donated nearly $60,000 of product in comfort kits for families forced out of their homes during Colorado’s Black Forest fire in June.
• CenturyLink’s Colorado employees recently collected 12,124 pounds of food and $41.150 in cash for Colorado food banks.
• ComCables raised more than $26,000 for the Sun Valley Youth Center, an inner-city youth nonprofit organization at its 11th annual Charity Golf Tournament.
• The Credit Union of Colorado Foundation’s annual charity golf event raised $16,000 to directly benefit individual state employees and their families who are facing financial crises.
• The Denver Mattress Co. raised $200,000 through the Tim Tebow Foundation campaign supporting orphanage services worldwide.
