Confluence Cos. said it will break ground Friday on a 99-unit apartment complex in Golden.
The will be a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units that average 1,027 square feet, according to a news release. Rents will start at $1,100 a month.
The $18 million project is being funded in part by a $13.8 million loan from U.S. Bank.
Golden limits the amount of building permits that can be issued each year, so Confluence had to acquire some of its 99 required permits last year.
“As a result of this program, there are very few rental choices in Golden,” said Tim Walsh, president of Confluence, in the release.
Confluence said it is expecting to move in residents by June.
