Those planning on attending the Rocky Mountain Airshow this weekend should make note open bottles of water are not allowed through security.
Some attendees at the show held at the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport in Broomfield contacted The Denver Post Friday to say they had to empty their water before they could enter, and, once in, could not find a location to refill bottles.
Attendeed Rich Himmel said someone was driving a golf cart with a 10 gallon water jug for people to refill after some time had passed.
“There are like 2,000 people here so that seems impractical,” he said.
Air show spokeswoman Debby Standefer said people are able to get water once inside the gates and that she would personally escort them if need be.
Store-bought bottles that are still sealed are allowed past security.
