Brighton School District 27J has reached new three-year agreements with its certified and classified employee groups, which includes teachers, the school district said Monday.
The new agreements include provisions that maintain current insurance benefits, as well as modifications to working conditions such as hiring, leave time, planning time and disciplinary procedures.
Employees will also secure an overall average of 3.3 percent salary increase to accommodate lost steps and base increases that were frozen for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 school years due to budget cuts.
The contracts, which run from July 1 through June 30, 2016, have been ratified by the Brighton Education Association and the Colorado Classified School Employees Association.
