COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police say a string of shootings within a week last month has been tied to gangs.
Sgt. Josh Benner says there are now more than 1,000 gang members in the city.
According to the Colorado Springs Gazette ( ), one neighborhood was the scene of three shooting incidents in four days in late July. Police say three people were wounded in the shootings.
