Multiple fire departments responded Monday to a blaze in a Westminster home, which is believed to have been started by a discarded cigarette.

Reports from neighbors came in around 11:30 a.m. Monday for a house near 72nd Avenue and Ingalls Street, according to a news release from Westminster Fire Department.

No one was home when crews from the Westminster, Arvada, and Southwest Adams County Fire departments arrived on scene, according to the release.

Investigators determined the fire likely started from a discarded cigarette on the back patio, according to the release.

No one was injured in the fire, the release states.
