Aurora police have made an arrest in a beating that left a man on life support but are still looking for witnesses to the attack.
Police have not released the name of the man who was arrested Tuesday. They said the man was seen on Aug. 14 beating the victim, Ricky Thompson, about the head and torso, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.
In a news release posted on the department’s Facebook page, police offered no information about what motivated the beating. A police spokesman could not immediately be reached for further comment.
The assault happened about 6:30 p.m. at 16710 E. Quincy Ave., where Thompson was aided by two women whom detectives hope will come forward with information.
Aurora police urged anyone with information on the attack to call the department’s homicide unit at 303-739-6117.
