Aurora police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning.

A man was shot and later died around 12:32 a.m., near East 14th Avenue and Moline Street, according to a police notice posted on Facebook.

Police received a call for shots fired, but were unable to locate a victim or suspect initially.

A short time later, a man with a gunshot wound checked into a local hospital where he later died.

The man was brought in by two people who were interviewed by investigators, according to police.

Investigators determined the shooting happened in the 1400 block of Moline Street.

Police do not currently have a suspect, the post states.

Police are asking anyone with information on the murder to call detective Alton Reed at 303-739-6068 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
