BROOMFIELD, Colo.—Another arrest has been made in the death of a man whose body was found on a Broomfield street.
The Broomfield Enterprise reports ( ) 26-year-old Carissa Koch was arrested Wednesday on charges of tampering with physical evidence and being an accessory to a crime. Her husband, 32-year-old Matthew P. Burnett, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old James Clifford Fernandez.
Police say Fernandez’ body was found Aug. 17 after he got in an argument with Burnett at the couple’s home. Koch is suspected of trying to clean up blood stains just after the slaying.
An arrest affidavit says Burnett punched Fernandez in the face and shoved him into a table after finding him in a “compromising position” with his wife Aug. 16. Fernandez sustained head trauma during the struggle.
