The Colorado Judicial Department is warning consumers to beware of collection agency phone scams run by fake debt-collection agencies.
The callers threaten their victims with arrest warrants, and calls have been received in at least three judicial districts in the state, according to a news release Tuesday. Those who receive the calls should not provide any financial or personal information or send money or make payment authorization over the phone, Judicial Department officials said.
