Students were briefly evacuated Wednesday at Swanson Elementary School in Arvada .
Arvada Police spokeswoman Jill McGranahan told 7NEWS that officials were inspecting a backpack that may have chemicals in it.
The children were briefly moved to a parking lot adjacent to the school, but after officials found nothing suspicious the school was declared safe and students returned to classrooms.
