The last thing Merrill Smith and Jenna Stapleton wanted was for a thunderstorm to hit Fete des Fleurs and soak the 550 guests.
So they took a number of preventive measures to ensure the comfort of all who attended the black-tie fundraiser they were chairing for : flaps for the dinner tent and volunteers standing by with oversized umbrellas.
