LOVELAND — A new school year brings a new playground to an elementary school.

The playground at B.F. Kitchen Elementary was remodeled over the summer, complete with a much larger concrete space, playground equipment, swings, landscaping and a track.

The new equipment and landscaping were completed thanks to a $250,000 grant from the Colorado Health Foundation.

“As youngsters, we all remember our playgrounds. As far as this equipment, it’s top-of-the-line,” said Stan Scheer, superintendent of schools for Thompson Valley. “This is a nice setup.”
