The 3-year-old boy who fell out of a moving truck earlier this month has died and charges have been filed against his father.
Salvador Roman-Garza, 29, was charged Thursday with negligent child abuse resulting in death after his son, Bryan Roman, fatally fell from the back seat of his truck in the 5900 block of northbound U.S. Highway 85 on Aug. 15, according to a news release from the Adams and Broomfield County District Attorney’s Office.
The child was not restrained, police said.
Roman-Garza was also charged with two counts of failure to use a child restraint and one count of driving without a valid driver’s license, according to the release.
Roman-Garza was served a summons and complaint. He is due in court Oct. 1, according to the release.
