Banquet honors public safety officials, citizens
The Westminster Public Safety Recognition Foundation hosts its 11th annual awards banquet at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Westin Westminster.
Tickets are available online at or at the Westminster Public Safety Center for $40 each.
The Westin is offering rooms that night at a discount rate for attendees.
The awards honor police officers, firefighters, citizens and businesses for acts above and beyond the call of duty in the interest of public safety.
This year, Dave Delozier of 9News will present a video on Jessica Ridgeway.
The Westin Westminster is at 10600 Westminster Blvd.
Volunteer “snow busters” being recruited to help seniors. Volunteers are needed in Westminster to remove snow from the public walkways for seniors and citizens with disabilities during the upcoming snow season.
Removal must be completed 24 hours after a snowfall.
