COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A flatbed trailer that volunteers were using to help clear debris left by the Black Forest Fire has been reported stolen.

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief had rented the trailer for volunteers to use. Volunteer Bill Furch tells The Gazette () he thinks the trailer was taken late Monday or early Tuesday.

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief state director Dennis Belz says the trailer was valued around $7,000.

The trailer was described as a 20-foot Towmaster flatbed, black with red ramps on the back, and white pinstripes on the side, with Colorado license plate 432XYH.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has been handling the investigation.
