Keen eyes, flying paws and fleeing fiber animals hold court at the 27th annual Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials showcasing “the world’s top dogs and handlers” Sept. 4-8 in Meeker. Teams from around the world compete for $30,000 in purse and cash awards. Festivities also include demonstrations, seminars and displays about the sheep industry along with a petting farm, live music, an outdoor movie, crafts, food and more.
