• The Department of Energy named Deborah Jin, a physicist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology and professor adjoint for physics at the University of Colorado at Boulder, to serve on an independent advisory committee to Energy Secretary Earnest Moniz. Daniel Yergin, vice chairman of Douglas County-based IHS and founder of IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates, was also named to the panel.
