Unfortunately Denver and Salt Lake City wont get the wildly contagious pop dance party they were looking for from Icona Pop this weekend. The Swedish electro-pop/dance duo has canceled its shows in both cities due to illness.
The band posted the following message to its :
“Denver & Salt Lake City I am so sorry to have to cancel these upcoming shows. I was feeling a little better and got to perform a short show yesterday, but I immediately felt exhausted. I am so sad but there is nothing I can do except listen to the doctor and rest a few more days. We love you all and promise to see you soon. Aino”
Refunds are available at point of purchase for the Denver show at the Gothic Theatre on Sept. 7 and the Salt Lake City show at the Complex at Sept. 6. Opening acts for the Denver show K.flay and Sirah will still perform, but at Larimer Lounge. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
