DURANGO, Colo.—Authorities say a 22-year-old woman was killed in an ATV crash on a rough dirt trail near Bayfield in southwest Colorado.
La Plata County Sheriff’s spokesman Dan Bender tells The Durango Herald ( ) that Loria Hunt of Bayfield failed to return to her hunting camp after leaving on an ATV ride late Friday night. She was found dead the next morning on the side of the road with the ATV on top of her.
Bender says alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
