GREELEY, Colo.—Authorities say a man who was shot by Greeley police during a standoff at an apartment building was unarmed.
The Greeley Tribune reports ( ) officers were called to the University Tower apartment complex near Lincoln Park on Thursday on a tip that someone there had active warrants for his arrest.
Police say 29-year-old Kelly Lynn Ryan held them at bay for about an hour, was acting erratically and threatened to shoot officers. The standoff ended when police shot Ryan through a window. The man suffered wounds to his arm and neck, but his condition has not been released.
