CORTEZ, Colo.—Authorities are investigating a shooting in Cortez that left a 21-year-old woman dead and a teenager injured.
Police Chief Roy Lane tells the Cortez Journal ( ) that officers were called to the Cedar Terrace Apartments at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday. Natalie Hatch was killed in the shooting and 18-year-old Quincy Yellow was airlifted to a hospital with a gunshot wound.
The extent of his injuries has not been released.
No arrests have been made, and police have released few details about the shooting.
