Balloon and art fest
The Mancos Valley/Mesa Verde Country Balloon and Art Festival is Sept. 27-29. Events include food, music, art, a balloon glow, family activities and more. Admission to the festival is free, and reservations for balloon rides are available for $125 per person.
Junction car show revs up
The downtown Grand Junction Car Show is Sept. 28. From 10 a.m.-6 p.m., antique cars, muscle cars, classic cars and motorcycles line Main Street as vehicle owners talk cars and participate in friendly competitions.
Craft spirits fest
The fourth annual Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival is Oct. 4-6. The festival features sidewalk sales, a pub crawl, small-batch distillers, local cuisine, spirit seminars, saloon tours, tastings and more.
See past pioneers in cemetery
Ghost Walks through Linwood Cemetery take place on select days Oct. 11-26 in Glenwood Springs. Guides with lanterns take groups to the cemetery to watch actors portray pioneers from Glenwood’s past, including Doc Holliday and Kid Curry. Bring a flashlights and wear comfortable shoes. $15; show times vary.
