After a big 2013 that included a Grammy in February for “Babel,” Ben Lovett that “there won’t be any activities for the foreseeable future.”

The band wrapped up its tour in Kansas on Friday, and that show will be the last for some time. The year also when bassist Ted Dwane was being treated for a blood clot on the surface of his brain. These cancellations included Mumford & Sons’ headlining spot at Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Lovett :

“We just know we’re going to take a considerable amount of time off and just go back to hanging out and having no commitments or pressure or anything like that. It feels like the last week of school right now, before school holiday when you’re in high school. The atmosphere on the road is one of . . . I think everyone’s excited about being free of schedules.”
