A 12-year-old boy who was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Fountain died Monday night, the Colorado State Patrol said Tuesday.
A 5-week-old girl remained in critical, but stable, condition, Trooper Eric Zachareas said.
Eight people were injured in the wreck on U.S. 85/87 and Plaza Boulevard in Fountain around 1:50 p.m., closing the highway for nearly three hours.
State patrol said the wreck remained under investigation Tuesday.
