1 Date night? Arvada police were called to King Soopers, 8055 Sheridan Blvd., on Sept. 11 for a theft. A man selected two boxes of condoms and some makeup and then walked out of the store, employees said. The man ran off when they tried to stop him outside. The value of the items was $14.

2 Mystery visitor. A female resident called police Sept. 11 to report a string of possible burglaries to her home on the 8400 block of West 52nd Avenue. Twice in the last few months, the woman said, she came home from work and the kitchen faucet was on. Nothing was missing. The officer told her to contact police if it happened again.

3 Here’s your coffee. Police responded to 7-Eleven, 7355 W. 58th Ave., on Sept. 5 after receiving a report of a disturbance. A man entered the store, filled a cup with iced coffee and tried to leave the store. The clerk stopped him and told him he needed to pay for the coffee. The man responded by throwing the cup at the wall behind the clerk and yelling “Here’s your iced coffee back.” The suspect could not be located.

4 Backflow devices stolen. Police were called to the shopping center at 5071 Kipling St. on Sept. 5 after two backflow devices were cut from the pipes and stolen, causing a large water leak. There were no suspects.

5 Restricted access. Two men were stopped on the 5200 block of Wadsworth Boulevard on Sept. 2 after police saw them carrying a “restricted access” street sign. The men said they wanted to put it in the gully by their apartment to keep out the homeless people who sleep there. They said they had been drinking.
