
Too much underwear. On Sept. 25, an officer parked at Southwest Plaza Mall, 8501 W. Bowles Ave., unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), witnessed a Dillard’s store manager chase a male shopper who stole four packages of men’s boxer shorts. The man insisted he wore several pairs at one time, saying, “That’s how I dress.” The manager said he appeared to be wearing a diaper. The suspect was arrested for theft and careless driving.
Driver issued summons. On Sept. 28, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a driver at West Ken Caryl Avenue and C-470, Ken-Caryl. The driver had a temporary license and drove a car that belonged to his cousin. He was issued a summons for operating an uninsured vehicle with fictitious numbered plates. The van was towed.
Shirt theft leads to summons. On Sept. 26, a Jeffco deputy went to Sears, 8501 W. Bowles Ave., unincorporated Jeffco (Littleton), after the loss-prevention officer caught a woman concealing three shirts she failed to purchase. The woman said she came to fill out job applications and took the shirts because she is unemployed. She was given a summons for theft.
Warrant follows man to Jeffco. On Sept. 26, a man was arrested on a warrant out of Douglas County at the intersection of Rampart Range and West Sundance Mountain roads, Ken-Caryl, after he was stopped by a Jeffco deputy.
Car vandalized in Ken Caryl. A Jeffco deputy went to the 11800 block of Elk Head Range Road, Ken-Caryl, when a man said his Volvo had been vandalized there. The car’s windows had been broken.
