Stolen lottery tickets. A clerk at the 7-Eleven at 3995 N. Lewiston St. called police Oct. 7 after a customer ran out of the store with $30 worth of scratch lotto tickets. The thief handed the clerk a fake $50 bill and ran.
Missing speakers. A woman called police to her home in the 14000 block of East RadcliffCircle on Sept. 30 when two stereo speakers and a set of tools vanished from her locked garage. Police found no sign of forced entry and there are no suspects.
Health conscious thief. Police responded to Beck Recreation Center, 800 N. Telluride St. on Sept. 28 after a man noticed several of his belongings were missing after his workout. The man left his phone and wallet in an unlocked locker and everything but his empty wallet was gone when he returned.
Wanted shoplifter. Loss prevention at My Best Friend’s Closet, 6205 S. Main St. called police Sept. 25 after a woman was caught stuffing clothing down her shirt. Police discovered the woman also had a warrant for her arrest.
Stolen flood pumps. Residents in the 100block of S. Nome St. filed a police report on Sept. 24 after two sump pumps that were on loan from a home owner’s association were stolen. The residents said the pumps were zip-tied in their front window wells, but that the ties had been cut.
Worried mother. A woman called police to her home in the 13000 block of E. Idaho Place on Sept. 14 after her underage son came home inebriated. The woman’s son refused to discuss where he was or what he had been doing, so there was nothing police could do.
