Interview with George Stoberg

How did you get involved in this business?

I have had a love for animals all of my life. I am a native of Colorado and I completed my veterinary degree at Colorado State University.

What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

Our doctors and staff have completed years of training to make their lifelong dream of helping animals come true. Our staff is compassionate and caring for all animals — from fur to scales and everything in between. Our client assistants take the time to help owners care for their animals and answer any questions they may have. Our doggie daycare staff cares for the animals as if they were their own. We are a full-service hospital that includes veterinary care, dentistry, surgery and lodging of cats, dogs and exotics. Our hospital also has dog trainers available to assist owners with any training issues they are having.

What do you like best about your line of work?

The gratitude of helping both the owner and their pets.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Being able to do the right things for the clients with financial constraints. Also, pets not being able to tell you what is wrong with them.

Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

As a Colorado native, I attend and care for the sled dogs for the Alaskan Iditarod and have for the past 11 years.
