A 22-year-old Aurora man has been charged with child abuse after his 3-month-old son died of severe head trauma last month.
Martin Fernando Holguin Jr. has been charged with one charge of child abuse resulting in death, according to a news release from the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s office.
Aurora Police officers found Aiden Martin Holguin unresponsive on Sept. 16, after they were called to a home at 1641 N. Hanover Street.
The infant had a skull fracture and severe head trauma when he arrived at Children’s Hospital.
Holguin was advised of the charge on Wednesday.
A preliminary hearing has been set for Dec. 10 in Adams County Court.
He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
