Edgewater police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon.
The shooting took place around 3:45 p.m. at West 25th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, John Hough, Edgewater police chief said.
A 41-year-old man was shot and taken to the hospital where he died, Hough said.
Investigators do not have a suspect description, but Hough said the shooting does not appear to be random.
