FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A former Occupy Fort Collins protester has been convicted of arson for burning down a building under construction in 2011.
Thirty-one-year-old Benjamin Gilmore was found not guilty of two counts of attempted murder and additional counts of arson and criminal mischief.
His first trial ended in a mistrial last September.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan ( ) reports that Gilmore faces a range of penalties from probation to 30 years in prison. The fire caused an estimated $10 million in damage to an apartment complex under construction.
