
Dropping evidence. An employee at Noble Energy at 3975 E. 56th Ave. called police on Oct. 8 after thieves entered the property and stole thousands of dollars worth of tools. The employee noted that the back fence was broken. Police found a set of wool gloves and several tools on scene. The items were sent for DNA testing.
Free-wheeling hound. Police were called to the 5400 block of Monaco Street on Oct. 8 by two women who were intimidated by their neighbor’s roaming bulldog. An officer went to the neighbor’s house, and the man said it was his ex-wife’s dog and he wasn’t responsible for where it went. He was given a summons.
Field dumping. A police officer saw a large pile of trash in a field at 10300 Lima St. and called Neighborhood Services to report it on Oct. 7. The officer found a piece of mail among the litter and tried to trace a suspect. The resident didn’t match the address, and there are no other suspects.
No camping. The owner of the Holiday Plaza laundromat at 1842 W. 92nd Ave. called police about a homeless man sleeping behind the building on Oct. 7. Police found the man under a bush and took him into custody.
Illegible vandalism. A building tagged with a jumble of letters was reported by a patrolling officer on Oct. 6. The east wall of the building at 2315 W. 92nd Ave. was entirely covered by the graffiti. There are no suspects.
Smash and grab. Police were called to the Sonic at 9500 Federal Blvd. on Oct. 1 when the store’s manager noticed that the glass door was smashed in. The manager said about $200 was missing from the drawer.
