Interstate 70 reopened before 5 p.m. following a seven-car crash that closed all westbound lanes at Interstate 270 Friday afternoon.
Denver police had diverted traffic off to Monaco Parkway, said Jarrett Handy, a Colorado Department of Transportation traffic monitor.
“It’s a mess out there,” he said.
Construction vehicles may have been involved in the crash, Handy said.
