Roadside robbery. A man called police to Denny’s at 14400 E. Sixth Ave. to report that he was jumped a few blocks away on Oct. 10. The man told police he was walking down the street when about six men pulled up in an SUV, beat him and stole his bag with his clothes inside. There are no suspects.

Rock lobbing. A man went to police to report that someone launched a silver stone through the skylight at his home in the 13000 block of East Kentucky Avenue on Oct. 8. The man said the colored rock came through while he was sitting in the room below.

A quick getaway. A loss prevention employee at the King Soopers on 4271 S. Buckley Road called police after she watched footage of two suspicious women who were paying for some items on Oct. 6. The footage showed the women sneaking other items in their purses before they went to the register. They were already driving away by the time the employee went to get them.

Indebted thief. Police were called to the 1100 block of North Emporia Street by a man who said his roommate of one month stole $580 from his lockbox on Oct. 3. The man said he met the roommate “around the art scene” but he was already moving out because he owed the man money and paintings.

Motel violence. Police responded to the Pacesetter Motel, 14291 E Colfax Ave., on Oct. 2 when a woman reported that her boyfriend hit her. The woman said she came back to the room late, and her boyfriend locked her out of the room. When he let her in, he hit her and then took off. Police issued a warrant for his arrest.
