Advanced Emissions Solutions Inc. of Highlands Ranch announced that it has been awarded three research-and-development contracts to help power-plant customers meet proposed future environmental regulations. The Department of Energy awarded two contracts related to technology to capture carbon dioxide from coal-fired power plants. A third contract, awarded by a major utility, is related to technology to stabilize effluents from power plants.
