Celebratory drink interrupted. A man was cited by Arvada police Oct. 16 after he was observed walking down the street with an open beer at West 66th Avenue and Upham Street. The man admitted to cracking the beer on his way home from the liquor store and said he had just made money on the stock market. The beer was to celebrate.
Fight over Fido. Police were called to 7-Eleven, 8002 Chase Drive, on Oct. 16 for a disturbance. A woman told police she was concerned when she saw a dog tied up outside and decided to wait with the dog. A second woman, the dog’s owner, then came out of the store and accused her of trying to steal the dog. Both women started yelling and threatening to punch one another. The dog’s owner asked to press charges.
Missing milk. Police received a report of a theft Oct. 14 on the 8300 block of Eaton Way. A resident’s milkbox along with five half-gallon bottles of milk had been stolen off her front porch overnight. No suspects were identified.
Running away from Home Depot. Police responded to Home Depot, 5215 Wadsworth Blvd., on Oct. 12 after a customer took off running when accused of shoplifting. A foot chase ensued and the suspect was apprehended. She had been caught with $186 of stolen merchandise.
Unwelcome guest. A man called police Oct. 11 to report a trespass to his motorhome while it was being repaired at 12190 W. 64th Ave. When he picked it up, the door was unlocked and the battery dead. Inside, the furnace was on, an empty can of beans was next to the stove and the bed looked like it had been slept in.
