
Student found trespassing in dorm closet. On Oct. 17, Denver Police responded to a dorm room at Colorado Heights University, 3001 S. Federal Blvd., on a report of trespassing. Police found the suspect hiding in the closet of one of the dorm rooms. He had been told several times that he was not allowed in that hall.
Victim punched randomly. A man was punched in the face by a stranger Oct. 17 while walking near West Belleview Avenue and South Holland Street. The victim called Denver Police and told officers that when the suspect saw him, he punched him twice and left the area.
Suspects assault clerk during robbery. On Oct. 19, an employee of 7-Eleven, 7295 E. Seventh Ave., called Denver Police after the store was robbed and he was assaulted. He told police a male and female suspect entered, and the male suspect placed several items in his pockets. When the clerk approached the male suspect, the female suspect assaulted him.
4 Man caught sleeping on loading dock. A security officer called Denver Police on Oct. 16 after he observed a man sleeping in a sleeping bag at a loading dock in the 600 block of 16th Street. The suspect was also sleeping under large “no trespassing” signs.
Craigslist deal gets shady. On Oct. 19, two suspects purchased a laptop from a victim on Craigslist. When meeting, the suspects realized the laptop was older than advertised. The suspects attempted to take the laptop and took the victim’s wallet. The suspects returned the wallet to the District 5 station, 8354 E. Northfield Blvd. The victim claimed money was missing.
