LONGMONT, Colo.—Beekeepers in Longmont are working to rebuild their hives following historic flooding in September.
Miles McGaughey , who is president of the Boulder County Beekeepers’ Association, lost 98 of his 122 hives and thousands of bees to floodwaters. He says many beekeepers will be lucky to salvage what remains of their operations.
The Longmont Times-Call reports ( ) many beehives are still missing.
