
Gas station hit-and-run. Police were called to Diamond Shamrock, 9989 W. 80th Ave., on Oct. 20 for a hit-and-run accident. A woman was driving in the parking lot when a black pickup crashed into her driver side door. The truck then sped away. The truck’s driver, who paid cash for his gas, was visible on security cameras.
Construction site raid. Arvada police responded to the 6300 block of Ralston Road on Oct. 23 following a report of criminal mischief. A drill rig and a forklift had been stripped of their copper wiring while parked on a construction site overnight. No suspects were identified.
Bad breakup. A resident of the 5500 block of West 81st Place contacted police Oct. 20 to report harassing phone calls from his ex-girlfriend. According to the man, his ex was calling him every 15-20 minutes. When reached by police, the woman said she was just trying to get the $30 the man owed her. No charges were filed.
Mystery stains. Police responded to the 11600 block of West 62nd Place on Oct. 20 for an apparent act of criminal mischief. A woman had found a large amount of paint on her daughter’s car. Police then found similar greenish-blue stains on seven other cars, some pavement and a fence. Police believe it was unusually colored bird manure.
Stolen keys. Police were called to the 8100 block of Ames Way on Oct. 19 for a burglary. A female resident said someone entered her house overnight and took two sets of house keys and a debit card from her purse. The woman suspected it may have been the mother of her niece and nephew, whom she has had custody for three years.
