ALAMOSA, Colo.—Del Norte town officials are advising residents to boil their water after bacterial contamination was found in the municipal water system.
The Alamosa Valley Courier reported Friday ( ) the contamination was found during routine testing this week.
No illnesses have been reported as a result of the contamination. The type of bacteria involved hasn’t been released.
Del Norte, in southwestern Colorado, has a population of about 1,700. The number of customers of its water system wasn’t immediately available.
