One person was killed early Saturday in a head-on crash between two vehicles at Federal Boulevard and Virginia Avenue, according to Denver police.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Later Saturday, Denver police announced they had arrested Juventino Hernandez-Vazquez, 36, on suspicion of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault in connection with the crash.
The collision happened at about 5 a.m., said Raquel Lopez, spokeswoman for the Denver Police Department. She said that Hernandez-Vazquez was arrested at the scene.
After the crash, southbound Federal Boulevard was closed at Virginia Avenue and northbound Federal Boulevard between Custer and Virginia, Lopez said.
