DENVER—A man accused of hitting an off-duty officer outside a Pepsi Center concert with his car and then leading police on a chase has been arrested.
KUSA-TV reports ( ) 25-year-old Jeremy Irey fled the scene after hitting the officer Saturday night. He was arrested at the intersection of Interstate 25 and Interstate 70 after a brief chase.
The Denver Post reports ( ) the man’s car had been pulled over by police on I-25 but the driver took off again, leading police on a chase until the vehicle crashed into other cars.
The officer, who was working security at the concert, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Irey faces charges of assault and felony vehicular eluding.
