When a Pueblo West woman answered a knock on her door at 2 a.m. Sunday, she was shot multiple times, while her family inside was left unharmed, authorities said.
As of Sunday afternoon, the 34-year-old woman had survived her wounds. Investigators identified a person of interest and took him into custody on an arrest warrant unrelated to the shooting, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office stated. His name was not released.
Deputies also are looking for 25-year-old Anthony Scott of Pueblo.
“Right now Mr. Scott is someone we very much need to talk to,” said Pueblo County Sheriff’s Capt. Dave Lucero. “He knows this family and the man we contacted after the shooting. If anyone knows where he is, we’d ask that you call us.”
