NORTHGLENN, Colo.—Police say two men stole puppies from a suburban Denver pet store and their getaway SUV knocked down a witness.
The Denver Post reported Monday ( ) the men picked up three puppies inside the Puppies ‘n’ Stuff store in Northglenn on Thursday and ran out.
Police say the men left in an SUV driven by a woman. A witness who followed the men to the SUV was clipped and knocked down as the SUV drove away.
The witness was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Police say the witness wasn’t able to tell investigators the license plate number.
A German shepherd and two Maltese puppies were stolen.
