LONGMONT, Colo.—Newly elected Longmont city councilwoman Polly Christensen is apologizing for a note she wrote to a pizza shop owner before the Nov. 5 election reprimanding the owner for putting up a sign in his shop supporting a rival for mayor.

Christensen won her election after sending a note to Abbondanza pizzeria owner Bob Goff suggesting he take down a sign in his shop supporting Bryan Baum for mayor.

According to the Longmont Times-Call ( ), Goff said the note was out of order and just a difference of opinion.
